Curtis Henry Dille

Curtis Henry Dille, 65, of Red Wing, died September 4, 2013 at Mayo Methodist Hospital in Rochester. He was born October 20, 1947 in Red Wing to Ralph and Lillian (Benitt) Dille. He grew up in Hay Creek and graduated from Red Wing High School. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. National Guard. After he was honorably discharged he returned to work on his family farm. In 1976 he married Judy Geiger at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Red Wing. Shortly thereafter he started work at Red Wing Malt Company while continuing to work with his horses on his family farm until it was sold. He was a member of the Leo C. Peterson, Post 54 American Legion. Curtis enjoyed working, farming, camping, fishing, four-wheeling, and spending time with close family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Judy of Red Wing; two daughters, Faith (Todd) Omberg of Pine Island and Abbie of Miesville; granddaughter, Lilly; two brothers and one sister; and his other brother, Gary Schwab. He is preceded in death by his parents and one cousin, Barb Hardt.
A public visitation will be 9-10 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn chapel followed by a private memorial service officiated by Rev. Kristen Schlauderauf and Victor Meyr. Burial will be at Oakwood. At 1 p.m. there will be a celebration of life at the Leo C. Peterson, Post 54 American Legion. Memorials are preferred to The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
