Corrine J. Albers age 76 of Oronoco died on Tuesday morning, July 29, 2008 at her home in Oronoco. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, August 1, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Oronoco with Reverend Paul Baldauf officiating. Burial will be in Zumbrota Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 5:00 � 8:00 PM at the Mahn Family Funeral Home � Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and on Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Corrine Joy Meier was born on September 12, 1931 in Red Wing, MN to Earl L. and Alice Mary (nee Flynn) Meier. She was baptized at St. John's Church in Prescott, WI on December 5, 1931. She grew up in the Prescott area, was confirmed in 1945 and graduated from Prescott High School in 1949. On September 20, 1949 she married Harlem Henry Albers at St. John's Church in Prescott. They farmed in Goodhue County for many years before moving to Oronoco in 1988. Corrine worked at Libby's Foods, interior decorator, waitressed at the Zumbrota Sales Barn, food demonstrator and at the Pine Cheese Mart in Pine Island. She enjoyed spending time with people, bingo and dancing. She was the Treasurer for the Oronoco Seniors, volunteered at the Rochester Methodist Hospital and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Oronoco. Corrine is survived by her children, Wayne (Patricia) Albers of Zumbro Falls, Rita (Larry) Caron of Mapleton, Debra (Kenneth) Lohmann of Zumbrota, Dennis (Sheila) Albers of Zumbrota and Randall (Kristy) Albers of Mazeppa, fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one brother, Rodney (Geraldine) Meier of Bay City, WI, sister in law, Rozella Lohmann and brother in law, Mathias Buck, both of Zumbrota. Corrine was preceded in death by her husband Harlem on August 16, 1996, one sister, Genevieve Hadler and her parents, Earl and Alice. Casketbearers are Matthew Caron, Lynn Albers, Scott Albers, Jason Lohmann, Christopher Albers, Michal Albers and Jesse Albers. Honorary bearers are, Melissa Matthees, Joleen Jessen, Korrin Lohmann, Kari Donnay, Katie Morgan, Colleen Albers and Holly Albers.
