Constance "Connie" Clark

Constance "Connie" Julia Clark, 80, of Welch died Friday January 3, 2025 at Tinta Wita Tipi Senior Living in Welch, Minnesota. She was born on April 28, 1944 to Wallace and Frances Mildred (Hoffman) Owen in Prairie Island.

Connie was a spunky spirit and a caring and giving woman. She always had a way of bringing smiles to peoples faces even in hard times. Connie had a passion for Betty Boop, Chippendales, and WWE wrestling. She also enjoyed meals with family and friends at Liberty's and Hager Heights. Connie loved going on rides to see the buffalo and she liked giving back to nature. She also had a favorite chair at home where you would often find her playing word finds and drinking a ginger ale. Connie will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Sheila Zavala; many grandchildren and great-granchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank David Clark; her parents, Wallace and Frances; her siblings, Delphine Emma Owen-Chapman, Irene Owen-Gibson, Quentin "Bechee" Owen, "Poncho" Owen, Barbara Owen-Jefferson, and Calvin Owen; and a great-granddaughter, Breanna Pese.

Visitation for Connie will be from 7pm on Sunday, January 5, 2025 till the time of the service at 1pm on Monday, January 6, 2025 at the Prairie Island Community Center. Burial will take place at the Sunset Memorial Chapel and Gardens in Des Moines, Iowa at a later date.
