Connor S. Wencel

Connor S. Wencel, age 18, of Pine Island, died unexpectedly on Friday, June 7, 2013. He was born on June 18, 1994, in Burnsville, to Rodney and Rhonda (Fuchs) Wencel. Connor graduated from Pine Island High School in 2012. He worked at Reichel Foods in Rochester. Connor enjoyed everything mechanical including snowmobiling, four wheeling, and working with cars. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his best friend, Zach. Connor was known as a people person and was easy to get a long with. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Pine Island.

Connor is survived by his mother, Rhonda Wencel of Pine Island; father, Rodney Wencel of Elko; sister, Ashley Wencel of Pine Island; brothers, Steven Wencel of Grand Forks, ND, and Christian Wencel of Pine Island; niece, Ryleigh Wencel; maternal grandparents, James and Audrey Fuchs of Pine Island; paternal grandparents, John and LaVae Wencel of Baxter; aunts, Audra (Randy) DePestel, Ronna (Todd) Hudson; uncle, Roger (Pam) Wencel; and many cousins.

Connor was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal great-grandparents; great-uncle, Victor Wencel; and cousin, Christopher Riley.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Pine Island with Father Randal Kasel presiding. Burial will be in St. Michael's Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Mahn Family Funeral Home - Mahler Chapel in Pine Island and for one hour prior to the service at the church. www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
