Lake City

Clinton John Quarve, 46, of Lake City, passed away on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28, 2024, from massive heart failure and kidney disease. He is the son of Leon R. Quarve (Rung Rapp) and Julieanne Bjerke (Steve Sakaí). He is also survived by his sister, Amy Quarve (Dustin Stenberg) and nephew, Andrew J. Hamson. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy K. Quarve Hamson and grandparents, Walter G. and Katherine E. Quarve.

Clinton graduated from Lake City High School and began to make a career out of his favorite hobby—making fishing jigs. He named his business, “Space Age Jigs” and also started an online business selling Star Wars and GI Joe toys and collectibles. He lived in Rochester for a few years and returned to Lake City due to health issues. Clinton was a huge Ozzy Osbourne fan and even played guitar himself. Fishing was his passion, and he often could be found on the lake trying to catch the next big walleye or northern, a few of which, have been mounted on his walls.

There will be no services at this time, but a memorial in Clinton’s memory can be made to the Hiawatha Valley Humane Society. Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson Peterson Chapel.
