Clifford Harold Phillips, 76, of Red Wing, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 3, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Red Wing. He was born May 7, 1944, in Elba, Minnesota, to Harry and Merle (Maeir) Phillips. He graduated from Winona High School and then attended Winona Vo-Tech. On January 1, 1966, he was united in marriage to Janet Vorbeck at Minnesota Lutheran Church. They lived in Rollingstone before moving to Red Wing in 1972. He worked at NSP/Xcel Energy for 35 years, retiring in 2005. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Red Wing.
He is survived by his wife, Janet of Red Wing; 3 children, Sheila Ryan and David Phillips both of Red Wing and April (Jeramy) Fischer of Dodge Center; 8 grandchildren, Christopher (May) Ryan, Mitchell Ryan, Hunter and Brynn Phillips, Desirae (Matthew) Gunderson, Kyla Phillips-Tucke, MaKayla Phillips-Tucke and Daewson Walters and 3 great-grandchildren, Jordan Weber and Lucas and Kaitlyn Gunderson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
