Clarice Marian Hoeft

Clarice Marian Hoeft, 78, Red Wing, died Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at Fairview Seminary Home. She was born July 24, 1930 in Red Wing, the daughter of Erwin and Clara (Schwartau) Hinrichs. She graduated from Red Wing High School in 1948.She married Lloyd J. Hoeft on September 16, 1950 in Red Wing. He died October 11, 1996. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was an active volunteer in many organizations. She was a loving caregiver to many people and enjoyed travel, cards and baking.

Survivors include her five children: Jeanne (Robert) Raway of Hastings, John (Lois) Hoeft and Janet (Duane) Daley all of Welch, June (Ken) Books of Ellsworth and Jetty Hoeft of Hay Creek; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; brother, Gordon (Linnea) Hinrichs of Red Wing; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Funeral service will be 11 a. m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church with Reverend Loren Lucht officiating. Burial will be in Cross of Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery, Welch. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and on Saturday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to St. John's Lutheran Church.
