Clarice Breuer age 91 of Lake City passed away January 30, 2016 at Diamond Rehab and Living Center in Cannon Falls, MN.
Clarice was born April 22, 1924 in Minneapolis to Elizabeth and Fred Carlson. She grew up in Minneapolis and then moved to Grantsburg, Wisconsin where she helped out on her grandfather's farm and later graduated from high school. After high school she moved back to Minneapolis and while working in a bank, she struck up a friendship with a co-worker who invited her down to Lake City to attend a dance. It was there that she met a young soldier on leave and ended up being married to that soldier, Robert Breuer, for 65 years.
Clarice and Bob enjoyed boating and spending winters in Hawaii and Padre Island, TX after Bob's retirement.
Clarice is survived by three children, Patricia (Ralph Fifield) of Savannah, GA, Todd Breuer of St. Cloud, MN, and Leslie Ann (Scott Burfeind) of Prior Lake, MN. Also to mourn her passing are eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her sisters Fern and Peggy, and her husband Bob in 2008.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel. Visitation will be at Mahn Funeral Home one hour prior to the service. A private family burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery in Lake City.
