Clara Petersdorf

Clara ?Pete? Ovida Petersdorf, 92, of Red Wing, died Saturday morning, December 30, 2006, at St. Brigid?s at Hi-Park. She was born on November 28, 1914 in Zumbrota to Olaf and Christine (Nodtvedt) Ree and attended schools in Zumbrota. In 1939 she married Theodore Petersdorf and they were later divorced. She lived in Austin and then moved to Red Wing where she worked as a taxi cab dispatcher and then for St. John?s Hospital in the housekeeping department before retiring. Since 2001 she has resided at St. Brigid?s at Hi-Park where she served as president of the resident council. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing crafts and spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren. Survivors include four granddaughters, Missie (Tom) Tschida of Stillwater, Micky Galvin of Newport Beach, California, Mindy Petersdorf of Red Wing and Megan (Brad) Buckley of Red Wing; three great grandchildren, Jeremy Petersdorf and Kiley and Abby Buckley; daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Petersdorf of Red Wing and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Michael; great grandson, Brandon Feidt; two sisters, Emma Enevold and Mabel Riordan and one brother, Lloyd Ree. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 4, 2007 at New River Assembly of God Church with Rev. Tom Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the donor?s choice. Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
