Clara Lucille Lillie, 86, Red Wing, died Tuesday at Red Wing Health Center. She was born February 25, 1922 in Watopa Township, Wabasha County, the daughter of Peter and Mabel (Koelmel) Petroff. She attended Greenfield Schools near Kellogg. She married Edward Lillie on November 24, 1943 in Decorah, Iowa and they farmed for many years near Theilman. He died February 14, 1982. She moved to Red Wing in 1985 and into Jordan Tower I in 1991. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and a bowling league. She enjoyed bingo, crocheting, playing dominos, doing puzzles and socializing with friends.
Survivors include five sons: Bill (Mary) Petroff of Red Wing, Merlin (Marion) Schultz, missionaries of Bolivia, South America, Ronald (Mary) Lillie of Wabasha, Walter (Buni) Lillie of Fridley and Ernest (Judy) Lillie of Prescott; seventeen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one sister, Dorothy McKellips of California; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, John Peter Lillie; three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral will be 11 a. m. Friday at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Father Charles Uhlik officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Theilman. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday with a 7:15 p.m. vigil service at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service on Friday. Memorials are preferred to the American Association for the Blind.
