Christopher Charles Goodman

Christopher C. Goodman, age 54, of Zumbrota, died unexpectedly on July 22, 2018 at his residence. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 27 at 10:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wanamingo with Pastor Christopher Culuris officiating. Visitation will be on Friday for one hour before the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements were made with Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel in Zumbrota.
Christopher Charles Goodman was born on July 5, 1964 to Maurice "Brownie" and Roberta "Bobbie" (Tawyea) Goodman in Rochester. He was raised in Wanamingo and graduated from Wanamingo High School in 1982. Chris attended Vo-tech for welding and worked for a medical receptacle company in Cannon Falls before joining the National Guard where he served for 9 years. Upon his return from boot camp he married Teresa Swarthout on January 9, 2009 in Red Wing. Together they lived in Wanamingo and Zumbrota. Although only married for a short time, they had two beautiful children and remained great friends. Chris had a variety of jobs over the years, running his own garage door and siding business, ABC Seamless, Central Livestock in Zumbrota, and Welsh Equipment in Dodge Center to name a few. But his favorite was being a dad; he was a very proud and loving father. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was one of the first members and Commander of the Wanamingo Veterans Honor Guard.
Chris enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading/watching westerns, hanging out with his friends, and especially spending time with his children.
Chris is survived by his beloved son, Zebadiah Goodman; cherished daughter, Madilynn Goodman; parents, Brownie and Bobbie Goodman of Wanamingo; sister, Susan (Albert) Bodenhamer of Zumbrota; brother, Scott (Jen) Goodman of Zumbrota; nephew, Nick Adamson; mother of his children and great friend, Teresa Goodman.
Chris was preceded in death by an infant son, CJ Goodman; sister, JoAnn Goodman; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Memorials are preferred to the family.
