Christian Mor-Ying Yang

Christian Yang, 8 year old son of Tony and Pricilla Yang of Rochester, died Saturday October 26, 2013 at Saint Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.
Christian Mor-Ying Yang was born July 28, 2005 in Fresno, California. At the age of 10 months, Christian moved with his family to Rochester. At the time of his passing, he was a 3rd grade student at Sunset Terrace Elementary School. Christian had a big heart. Full of life, he was a giver and a natural leader. Always happy, his smile would bring a smile to others, too. He played piano, and he enjoyed playing video games. It was his nature to put others before himself, and it was in that spirit that Christian continued to give even after his passing with the gift of his organs through LifeSource.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Chancellor Yang; two sisters, Cassidy and Cayley Yang; his paternal grandmother, Chou Yang of Rochester; and maternal grandparents, Pathong and Nyoua Lee of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Nhia Kao Yang.
Friends and family are invited to gather from 6:00 to 7:00 PM Friday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Rochester Chapel, and a service will be held from 7:00 to 9:30 PM. Additionally, a visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the funeral home, after which a service will be held from 10:00 to 12:00 noon. Lastly, a service will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Rochester, and burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
