Cheryl Rae Johnson, age 52, of Inver Grove Heights, formerly of Red Wing and Cannon Falls, died Monday, March 26, 2007, at Fairview University Medical Center in Minneapolis. She was born on August 8, 1954, in Red Wing, to Fritz and Mae (Nash) Johnson. She was a 1972 graduate of Red Wing Central High School and a 1976 graduate of Red Wing Vocational and Technical College. She worked for Citizen?s Security, where she received the Secretary of the Year award. She then worked for Fritze Candy Company in Newport where she lived. She enjoyed being outside, gardening and traveling. Survivors include her daughter, Marcia (Mike) Murach of Eau Claire, Wis.; and her son, Jaikobie Gosman of Red Wing; her mother, Mae Johnson of Red Wing; sister, Pam (Gary) Thom of Beldenville, Wis.; brother, Gary (Darlene) Jacobson of Sewell, NJ; three nieces and one nephew. Her father preceded her in death. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Gary Elg officiating. Burial will be in Burnside Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, and one hour prior to the time of services Saturday at the church. Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
