Charles John Lenn

June 24, 1934 — January 17, 2016

Charles John Lenn was born on June 24, 1934 on the family farm in rural Eyota to John and Anna (nee Mudrick) Lenn. He attended Stewartville High School, and served in the United States Navy from 1951 - 1955 as an Eng. 1st Class on the Submarine USS Archerfish. Charles met his wife, Charlyne (Henry) in grade school. They were married at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Stewartville on August 25, 1954. They lived in Key West, FL while he was in the Navy. After his discharge, he began his career at IBM in January 1957 in New York. They returned to Rochester in September 1957. They lived in Byron for a short time before settling in Pine Island. Charles worked for IBM as a tool and die maker for 35 ½ years. After retiring Charles spent his time with his family, gardening and helping Jon build a house. Charles enjoyed fishing, playing cards, getting together with his pinochle buddies spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Charlyne Lenn; children, Darsa Fiek of Pine Island, Jon (Kate) Lenn of Pine Island, Brian (Carol) Lenn of Rochester, Terri (Rick) Schacht of Zumbrota, Greg (Karen) Lenn of Pine Island, Corey (Dawn) Lenn of Zumbrota, and Beth Lenn of Pine Island; seventeen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Virginia Nord, and Shirley Thomann.
Charles was preceded in death by an infant son, Christopher; three sisters; and his parents.
