Charles Latcham, Jr., 91, died surrounded by family, Sunday, February 26, 2017 at his home. Charles was born on July 10, 1925 in Cresco, Iowa to Robert and Florence (Kerr) Latcham. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during World War II in the European theater. On April 12, 1952 he married Ardith Elaine Hague. He farmed for many years and then worked for Central Research up until the time of his retirement. Charles enjoyed golfing and spending many winters in Myrtle Beach. He was a member of the Leo C. Peterson American Legion Post 54, the Masonic Lodge 8 and the Scottish Rite 32.
He is survived by his two daughters, Diana (Loren) Brusehaver and Barbara Latcham both of Inver Grove Heights; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Boysen of Austin; and one brother, John Latcham of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and two sisters, Jane Wolf and infant sister Florence Latcham.
Memorial service will be at 1 pm on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson Mahn Chapel. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Interment will be at Maiden Rock Cemetery in the spring. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
