A memorial visitation for Charles LaDue will be held Friday September 16th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Rochester Chapel. Mr. LaDue, 74, of rural Zumbro Falls died Wednesday September 7, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Hospital - Saint Mary's campus in Rochester.
Charles Delbert LaDue was born November 28, 1941 in Madison, Wisconsin. The son of Stephen and Lura LaDue, he was raised in Elysian, Minnesota, and was a graduate of Waterville High School, Class of 1959. He attended Mankato State University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education. He married Sharon Chambers, and the couple was later divorced. Mr. LaDue was a teacher for more than 30 years with the Zumbrota-Mazeppa public schools, where he also coached wrestling. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and watching his grandchildren play soccer. He could often be found spending time at his second home at Mac's Park Place near Lake Zumbro.
Mr. LaDue is survived by his son, Scott (Karen) LaDue of Rochester; four grandchildren, Amanda, Jacob, Kristen, and Melanie LaDue; two sisters, Margie Filbert and Madge Goss; and a brother, Steve (Sheila) LaDue, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Marion LaDue.
