Charles Thomas Knapp

Charles Thomas Knapp, 66, of Red Wing, MN, passed away on the Third Day of May, 2013.
Charlie was born in Syracuse, NY on February 13, 1947. He graduated from University of Saint Thomas with a degree in Business.
He married Dolores (Lori) Marie Cochran on June 6, 1975; they were married for 38 years.
Charlie worked as a small business owner/operator for Big Ben and Bayberry's Family Restaurants for over 22 years. Charlie served in the United States Navy from November, 1966, until he was honorably discharged in August, 1972. He was a master handyman who could fix anything. He looked forward to a daily breakfast with friends, and loved spending time with all 12 of his grandchildren (his bambinos, who he loved from the tip of their nose to the tip of their toes.)
Charlie is survived by wife, Lori; his sons, Brian (Elizabeth) of Red Wing, Christopher (Rita) of Pickerington, OH, Daniel (Ashley) of Red Wing; daughter, Megan (Trevor) Benson of Halliday, ND; father, Charles Knapp of Vadnais Heights, MN; siblings Anne (Don) Capozza of Lady Lake, FL, Kevin (Nicki) Knapp of Woodbury, MN, Kathleen Kringle of Circle Pines, Beth (Tommy) Conrad of Beech Grove, KY, and Dennis (Kari) Knapp of Hugo, MN; grandchildren, Carter, Allisyn, Alexander, Benjamin, Derick, Olivia, Kiley, Evelyn, William, Cameron, Mia, and Elijah; and many nieces and nephews and loving friends and family. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Marie; mother, Cornelia Knapp; nephews, Donald Capozza, and Jacob Knapp.
Mass of Resurrection will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the Church of St. Joseph, with Father Thomas Kommers presiding. Burial will be at later date at St. Mary's Cemetery in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church.
