Charlene Ann (Stucky) Miller passed away on 1/22/2025 at Pine Haven Nursing Home, in Pine Island, Mn. She was 97 years old. Charlene was born 08/05 /1927 to Lisle (Charlie) and Ida (Schutz) Stucky and chose to spend her whole life in her beloved hometown.
Many years were spent on Main Street, growing up in the brown stucco house, years her parents ran a cafe and bakery, after High School when she worked at the Bank and many decades running Millers' Store with her husband John Miller.
Charlene and John were married September 23, 1951 at the Pine Island Methodist Church where she was a lifetime member. They enjoyed spending time with their many extended family members and dear friends. Charlene was a committed volunteer in the community and her church as a member of Pine Haven Auxiliary, Business Men's Association, PTA, Girl Scout Leader, Sunday School Teacher, Circle member to mention a few.
Cherished time for decades was spent with her Coffee Ladies group. Every weekday morning, by clockwork, Charlene would gather the Store's banking deposits, stop at the Post Office on the way then head to the Rainbow Cafe for coffee to meet dear friends. Those in attendance included fellow Business "Man" Mary Smith, Kaye Edstrom, Roberta Hickey, Pat Dietz, Pat Hoehne, Marge Feigal, Jeanne Truestedt, Martha Alm, Betty Suttlemyre, neighbor Kathleen and others we may have forgotten to name.
Charlene was a marvelous baker and cook. Her family was treated to their personal favorites for each one's birthday and holidays.
Grandchildren recall special 1:1 Trelstad Bus Trips, family adventures with Grandma Miller along and sleep overs at Grandma's house baking cookies and playing dress up.
Charlene is survived by 3 children: Jean Miller Greseth (Steve), John C. Miller (Lynn), and Donald J. Miller ( Sara).
