Anchorage resident Charles "Chuck" Miller, 53, passed away April 17th, 2011 at his mother's home in Lake City, MN.
Mr. Miller was born April 23, 1957 in Lake City, MN to Haven Wayne and Mary Ellen (Sanborn) Miller. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1975. He married Verna Dry on November 10, 1979 at First Baptist Church, in Conway, Missouri. They would enjoy over 31 years of marriage. They did many things together and while they would have liked more time, they did the best they could with what they had.
He joined the Air Force in August 1975 and while serving he was stationed at Elmendorf AFB, Anchorage Alaska and then transferred to Andrews AFB, Maryland, where he would meet his future wife. After his honorable discharge, his wife remained in the Air Force and she would receive orders that would return his family to Anchorage in 1983. She would receive an honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1992 at which time they purchased a house at 1602 Alder Drive where they would make their home until his death.
He worked for the Federal Government for over 26 years as a Computer Specialist until his early retirement in 2008. He would rejoin the work force in 2009 working once again with computers as desktop support contractor.

Chuck is survived by his wife Verna, son and daughter-in-law, Haven (Appelyn) Miller and grandchildren, Autumm and Lincoln Miller of Allentown, Penn; son, Matthew Miller of Anchorage, Alaska; sister Bonnie (Ted) Johnson of Williamsburg, Virginia; brother, Todd (Manon) Miller of Rochester, MN; mother, mother Mary Ellen Miller of Lake City. He was preceded in death by his father.

A Celebration of Chuck's Life will be held Saturday, April 23, 2011 from 3 to 4 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. On line tributes may be placed at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
