Chad A. Luhman

In acknowledgment of a wonderful existence, we honor the memory of Chad Arlan Luhman, our ever-living father, brother, and son. After a fulfilling life, Mr. Luhman passed away peacefully due to complications of knee surgery at his parent's home, near Bellechester, MN on the morning of March 14, 2011. He was 36.

Chad A. Luhman was born on April Fool's day, 1974, at the Red Wing Hospital to Arlan Lee Luhman and Eileen Marie Ryan. Chad attended Goodhue and Zumbrota-Mazeppa Schools. He enjoyed farming and managed several businesses throughout his life and most recently worked as an Environmental Technician for Arrowhead Contractors.

Chad enjoyed life without fear or regret. An expert mechanic and fierce motocross competitor, Chad won numerous local, regional and state titles over the years. One of his biggest motocross achievement was earning his professional license and competing at the pro-level for several years. He shared his love of motocross through coaching and mentoring. Chad loved racing dirtbikes and being with friends and family, especially his daughter Savannah. Chad was a devoted family member and Good Samaritan, always happy and willing to help someone in need. He will be missed.

Chad is survived by his daughter, Savannah, of Townsville, Australia; mother and stepfather, Eileen "Ennie" and Larry Miller of Bellechester; brothers, Joseph Luhman of Mazeppa and Jeffrey (Donna) Luhman of Guam; sisters Valerie Miller of Zumbrota, Tara (Jed Gosse) Miller of Rochester, and Stephanie Hauschildt of Millville; grandmothers, Dolores Ryan of Goodhue, Mildred Luhman of Pine Island and Lucille Miller of Red Wing; niece, Viennah Bella Luhman of Guam, special friend, Amy Groth of Pensacola, Florida; and many, many relatives.

His father, Arlan Luhman precedes him in death.
