Cecelia C. Clare age 90 of Lake City died January 2, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
Cecelia Clare Biever was born July 7, 1917 in Reads Landing, MN to John & Anna (Delva) Biever. On July 3, 1943 she married Arnold Clare in San Luis Obispo, CA. He died June 22, 1992.
She was a waitress at various restaurants and a nursing assistant at River Oaks Nursing Home in Lake City for 16 years. She was employed with the Wabasha County Public Health Department for 20 years until her retirement. Cecelia was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, JoAnn (Robert) Blattner of Lake City, Judy (David) Klinkhammer of Rochester; son, Arnie (Paulette) Clare of Lake City; three grandchildren, Bryan Blattner, Jennifer Blattner, Andrew Klinkhammer, and two great grandchildren Hailey & Paige Blattner. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City with Rev. Scott Carmichael officiating. Burial will be is St. John's Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the services at the church.
