Catherine Dianne White

Catherine Dianne (Heller) White, 75, passed away Saturday morning, May 30, 2020 at the

Zumbrota Care Center, Zumbrota, Minnesota, due to kidney failure.

Catherine was born on May 4, 1945 at Union Hospital in New Ulm, Minnesota to Howard

and Luella Heller. She was the youngest of two daughters.

After graduating from high school Catherine went on to become a telephone operator. She

worked for the New Ulm Telephone Company for four years then continued on at St. Mary's

Hospital, also working as an operator. On December 14, 1968 , Catherine was united in marriage

to Marvin Dean White. They were married at the Evangelical Methodist Church in Rochester, by

Rev. Robert Painter. They were married for 37 years and had four children.

Cathy became a stay-at-home mother and also the local neighborhood babysitter for numerous

families, always having a house full of kids, many of which grew up referring to Cathy as their

second mom.

Catherine loved all animals, especially dogs and cardinals. She also enjoyed fishing, traveling,

collecting Christmas stories, cookbooks, going to garage sales and especially, spending time with

her 9 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; her parents; and her sister Marilyn "Susie"

Goodman.

She is survived by her four children, Kevin White of Mazeppa, Jahnese (Casey) Tedrick of

Zumbrota, June (Jason) Reiland of Spring Grove and Tom (Melissa) White of Pine Island;

grandchildren, Natalya Gonzalez of Rochester, Niklas Reiland of Spring Grove, Tyler, Devin,

Cole, Alexis White all of Pine Island, Ethan and Gage Tedrick of Zumbrota, and Logan White

of Mazeppa.



Funeral Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to a charity of donor's choice.
