Caryl R. Moyer

Caryl R. Moyer, age 72 became an angel on January 15, 2014 after his
death at the Pine Haven Care Center from complications from a stroke
suffered in January of 2012.
Caryl Richard Moyer was born on November 22, 1941 in Pine Island,
MN to Jesse and Helen (nee Elias) Moyer. He grew up in the area and
attended Pine Island High School. Caryl then became a certified
mechanic. On October 16, 1959 he married Sandra Rose Schiesser at
Zwingli United Church of Christ in Berne. They were wed until the time
of her passing on June 19, 1995. Caryl worked at Postier & Eggers
Buick in Rochester and later for Alberts Bro's in Pine Island. In his
younger years, Caryl enjoyed working on and racing cars. He also
enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with his close friends.
Caryl is survived by his children, Dawn (Troy) Kennedy, Dennis
(Jeannie) Moyer and Darcy (Greg) Goplen all of Pine Island and Darla
Knutson of West Concord; brother, Daryl "Hoss" (Judy) Moyer of
Rochester; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces
and nephews; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan Peper of New Port
Richey, FL, Dianna (Richard) Miller of Pine Island and Dale Schiesser
of Eau Claire, WI.
Caryl was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra and parents.
In keeping with Caryl's wishes a private family graveside will be held at
a later date.
Caryl's family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at
Pine Haven Care Center for the wonderful care they provided for their loved one.
