Carolyn A. Englund

Carolyn Ann Englund, 84, of Red Wing, died Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Bay View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born June 15, 1936, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Cecil and Josie (Kallestad) Riley.  She graduated from Washburn High School in Minneapolis.  On September 20, 1958, she was united in marriage to Larry Englund.  In 1971, they moved to Red Wing.  For over 20 years she worked for Coldwell Banker Realty in Red Wing. Larry died on August 5, 2006.   She was a member of First Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed reading, gardening, camping, traveling, which included a few winters in Arizona and was an avid Twins, Vikings and Red Wing Aces fan.

Carolyn is survived by  three children, Mark Englund (Terry) of Red Wing, Dan (Misty) Englund of Zumbrota and Julie (Michael) Heller of Red Wing; six grandchildren, Desiree (Brock), Ashley, Jed, Alissa, Hailey and Trevor; five great grandchildren, Eleanor, Greyson, Haven, Carson and Caden and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and two brothers, Paul and Ron Riley.

Private family service will be held at First Lutheran Church with Reverend Arthur Sharot officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery.  Memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church or Goodhue County Humane Society.  Funeral arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
