Carol Ann Trelstad, 58, of Zumbrota, died Monday, January 22, 2007 at Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls after a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 2007 at Stordahl Lutheran Church in rural Zumbrota with the Pastor Kathleen Lowery officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2007 from 4-7 p.m. at Mahn Family Funeral Home-Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Carol Ann Matti was born on July 22, 1948 in Rochester to Leo and Helen (Mott) Matti. She was raised in Roscoe Township, Goodhue County and graduated from Wanamingo High School in 1966. After graduation, Carol began working for the Mayo Clinic and worked there for 25 years as a medical secretary. She married Robert Trelstad on May 4, 1968 in Pine Island at the Episcopal Church. The couple lived in the Pine Island area and moved to the Zumbrota area in the early 1970?s. She entered the Angels Care Center in 2005. Carol was a treasurer for the Boy Scouts and also was active with the Girl Scouts. She was a member of Stordahl Lutheran Church. Carol enjoyed flowers, traveling, cooking, and reading. She especially loved her 1966 Mustang. Carol is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob"; daughter, Kimberly Trelstad of Duluth; son, John Trelstad of Zumbrota; grandson, Dorian Trelstad of Duluth; father, Leo Matti of Zumbrota; sister, Diana (Gene) Zimmerman of Oronoco and nephew, Justin Zimmerman of Oronoco. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Matti and brother-in-law, Merlin "Junior" Trelstad. Memorials are suggested to Stordahl Lutheran Church. Arrangements are with Mahn Family Funeral Home-Larson Chapel, Zumbrota.
