Carol B. Krantz, 94, of Red Wing died Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Castle Ridge Care Center in Eden Prairie. She was born on December 30, 1920 in Red Wing to Claus and Christine (Mickelson) Krantz. She graduated from Red Wing High School and then attended Northwestern Bible College in Minneapolis. She worked a number of years at the Red Wing Pottery as a painter and then worked at the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Red Wing and Minneapolis before retiring. She was a past member of the First Baptist Church in Red Wing and Hope Baptist in Minneapolis and currently attended First Covenant Church in Red Wing. She also was a member of the Avon Collectors Club.
Survivors include one brother, Gordon Krantz of Bloomington and many loving nieces, nephews; grand nieces and nephews and great grand nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ruth Krantz; her twin brother, Chester; one brother, Stanley and two nephews, David and Mark.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the First Covenant Church in Red Wing with Rev. Tim Anderson and Rev Mark Eix officiating. Burial will be at the Bethel Covenant Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday, Memorials are preferred to the Bethel Covenant Cemetery or Wycliffe Bible Translators.
