Carol Johnson

Carol L. Johnson age 88 of Lake City died Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Lake City Hospital.

Carol was born September 11, 1918 in La Crosse, WI to Carl & Katherine (Hass) Hauge. She grew up in the La Crosse area and graduated from Logan High School in La Crosse in 1936. She married Arlan Johnson June 7, 1941 at Trinity Lutheran Church in La Crosse. They moved to Lake City in 1942 where here husband taught school for 37 years. Carol did volunteer work through out her life for many different organizations. Arlan died February 20, 2003. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Lake City and the Ladies Aid; she was also a member of the Lake City Golf Course for many years. Carol enjoyed doing volunteer work, golfing, and gardening.

Carol is survived by one brother James (Janice) Hauge of Pine River, MN; one nephew Steven (Pam) Hauge of Chippewa Falls, WI; two nieces Sandra (Jim) Delia of Eden Prairie, MN, Kim (Doug) Holen of Fergus Falls, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother Norman Hauge; sister Ethel Hauge and one nephew Mark Hauge.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 10:30 am at the First Lutheran Church in Lake City with the Rev. Darren Paulson officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in La Crosse, WI. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the services at the church.
