Carla Hauschildt

Carla Lucille Hauschildt, 88, of Red Wing, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at the Fairview Red Wing Medical Center. She was born on November 5, 1917 in Red Wing to Arthur and Susie (Brame) Swanson. She attended school in Red Wing and for a short time worked in Chicago. She married Roscoe Max Bleything in Norfolk, Virginia and they later divorced. For many years she worked for the City of Red Wing, retiring from there. On March 15, 1969, she was married to Lenous Hauschildt. He died November 22, 1982. She was a member of St. Paul?s Lutheran Church, Leo C. Peterson American Legion Post #54 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Swedish Singers. She enjoyed bowling, golfing and gardening, especially her roses. Survivors include two sons, Al (Julie) Bleything of Lake City, and Chuck (Fianc‚e Deb Wiertz) of Red Wing; four grandchildren, C.J., Anthony, Thomas and Andrew Bleything and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lenous, one daughter, Julie Bleything; one sister, Stena Klitzke and four brothers, Frank, Dick, Leslie and Bob Swanson. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2006 at St. Paul?s Lutheran Church with Rev. Kristen Schlauderaff officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be C. J., Anthony, Thomas and Andrew Bleything. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
