Carl E. Weinmann age 93 of Lake City died May 28, 2008 at Madonna Meadows Assisted Living in Rochester.

Carl was born April 17, 1915 in Powers Lake, South Dakota to George & Hulda Weinmann. Carl grew up in Winona and graduated from Winona High School. Carl married Alice Munster June 1, 1938 in Huron, South Dakota. They lived in Winona until 1953 when they moved to Lake City, MN. Carl was co founder of Valley Craft which is located in Lake City. He retired and sold his share of the business in 1979. He and Alice returned to Winona in 1977. They moved back to Lake City in 2001. Alice passed away July 12, 2005. Carl was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lake City, Minnesota City Lions Club. He was also a member of the "Idiots" which was a group of men that cooked chicken events in Lake City.

Carl is survived by a daughter in-law Nona Weinmann of Lake City; three grandchildren, Ray Carl (Patty) Weinmann of Red Wing, Patti (Craig) Schad of Rochester, Timm Weinmann of Minneapolis; five great grandchildren; two sisters Leona Stoltman of Winona, Millie Zolondek of Winona. He was preceded in death by his wife and son Gerald Weinmann.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 2nd at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lake City with Father James Russell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the services at the church.
