Bruce Walter Voigt

Bruce W. Voigt passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023 at his home from pancreatic cancer.

Bruce was born on September 10, 1955 to Wally & Irene (Manthe) Voigt in Red Wing, MN.  He graduated from Red Wing Central High in 1973.

He married Beth (Schumacher) Greeley in April of 1993 and between them they had four children.  He retired from Red Wing Shoe Company in January 2018 after 43 years during which time he built many lasting friendships.  After retirement, he and Beth sold their rural Red Wing home and hit the road in a 32’ fifth wheel.  For three years they enjoyed wintering and hiking the great state of Arizona.  In 2021 they decided to purchase a home in Bay City, WI to be closer to family.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Beth Greeley-Voigt, daughter Mallery (Mark) Dosdall of Ellsworth, son Stefan of Hastings, son Tom Greeley (Laura Green) of Red Wing, son Jake (Jess) Randall Greeley of Stevens Point, grandchildren Hunter Greeley, Hannah Greeley and Layla Randall Greeley, brother Jim (Jamie), sister Ruth (Ralph) Fitschen, brother AJ and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Chuck, father-in-law Paul and sister-in-law Sara.

Per Bruce’s request there will be no funeral or visitation.  There will be a celebration of Bruce’s life on Saturday, December 9th from 1-3 pm at Colvill Park Courtyard Pavilion, 507 Nymphara Ln, Red Wing, MN.

Donations are preferred to St. Croix Hospice or Rise Up Red Wing.
