ROCHESTER A private graveside service for Bronald G. "Bud" Kellett will be at Hillside Cemetery in St. Charles, MN.
Mr. Kellett, 84, of Rochester, died Friday (Mar. 28, 2008) at St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born April 11, 1923 in Winona, MN he was raised in St. Charles and graduated from high school there in 1941. He attended Rochester Junior College for two years before entering the U.S. Army. He served for three years in the European Theater with the 42nd. "Rainbow" Infantry Division was wounded and received the Purple Heart. After returning from the service he attended the University of Minnesota receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. On May 28, 1948 he married Elizabeth L. "Betty L." Kronebusch in Marshall, MN. The couple lived in Marshall and Rochester before moving to Austin, MN. He worked for Austin Utilities for thirty years as chief accountant and assistant secretary. After his retirement in 1987 the couple moved to Rochester.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Karen (Duane) Shore of Coon Rapids, MN; and Karla (William) Laumeyer of Owatonna, MN; three grandchildren, Eric and Keith Kuter, and Brian Laumeyer; and four great grandchildren. An infant son preceded him in death.
Memorials are suggested to Kidney or Cancer research.
