Brianna LuRee Beck, 21, of Eau Claire, Wis., formerly of Red Wing, Minn. died Saturday, October, 21, 2023 in Jim Falls, Wis. as the result of a car accident.
She was born September 11, 2002 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Gregg and Brandi (McCormick) Beck. When Brianna was 4-years-old the family moved to Red Wing. There she attended Sunnyside and Burnside schools before graduating from Red Wing High School, class of 2021. She went on to the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire where she was studying Environmental Biology. She was also working at the Einstein Bros. Bagels on campus and while in high school, she worked at Taco Bell and was a hostess at Libertys.
Bri was a dedicated hockey player for more than 13 years, whose love for the game started when she was in kindergarten. She also loved the outdoors. She enjoyed camping and fishing and took many canoe trips with her dad in the Boundary Waters. The summer of 8th grade she visited Japan as part of the Sister Cities Commission. Bri loved experiencing Japanese culture first hand. She enjoyed playing video games, especially the many variations of Pokémon. She played tabletop RPGs with her friends, as well as many other games. She also was a fan of anime.
Bri was smart, interested in many things, and had a witty, sarcastic sense of humor. She loved her family and was a great big sister to Brooklyn.
She will be dearly missed by many, including her parents, Gregg and Brandi Beck of Idaho Falls, Idaho; siblings, Braxton Wilburn of Nampa, Idaho and Brooklynn Beck of Idaho Falls; grandmother, Susan McCormick; grandfather, Timothy Beck and his wife Mary; aunts, Susan (Michael) Comstock and Delia Cardenas; and her cousins.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Boyd McCormick; grandmother, Janet Beck; and uncles, Jeffrey McCormick and Byron Beck.
Memorial service will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, October 28, 2023 at First United Methodist Church in Red Wing with Rev. Linda McCollough Officiating. Visitation will be from 12 p.m., noon, until the time of the service, at church. A live stream can be found here . Memorials are preferred to your local humane society.
