Brian B. Bjorngaard age 28 of Wanamingo died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 17, 2006 in rural Goodhue County. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Columbskill?s Catholic Church in rural Goodhue with Father Bruce Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 20, 2006 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Mahn Family Funeral Home ? Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and on Wednesday one hour prior to the mass at the church. Brian Blake Bjorngaard was born on August 15, 1977 in Red Wing, MN to Brian and Jeanne (nee Schoenfelder) Bjorngaard. He grew up in rural Wanamingo and attended Wanamingo schools. Brian loved to travel and his adventuress spirit lead him to many different states and he learned many trades during his travels. He worked as a firefighter, fighting wildfires in the Western states, worked as a carpenter and pipeline work in California, did construction in Rochester, worked as a mechanic for Ray?s Transmission and was a gamer, designing characters for video games. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, playing with his brothers, nieces and nephews, four-wheeling, and was an avid reader. He loved the outdoors, especially pheasant hunting and fishing. Brian was a good uncle and a devoted brother. Brian is survived by his parents, Brian and Jeanne Bjorngaard of Wanamingo, five sisters, Jennifer Bjorngaard of Byron, Stacey Bjorngaard of Rochester, Amber Bjorngaard of Minneapolis, Ericka Bjorngaard and Carisa Bjorngaard, both of Wanamingo, two brothers, Christopher Bjorngaard and Erik Bjorngaard, both of Wanamingo, paternal grandparents Norman and Joan Bjorngaard of Wanamingo and Ray and Helen Schoenfelder of Goodhue. Brian was preceded in death by his great grandparents, and his special buddy, Frankie.
