Brenda C. Weis age 54 of Zumbrota died Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Zumbrota Health Services.
A memorial gathering will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. on Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel in Zumbrota. Private family graveside services will be held at Zumbrota Cemetery with Pastor Jan Fischer officiating.
Brenda Carolyn Weis was born on July 7, 1956 in Zumbrota, MN to Russell and Joanne (nee Svee) Weis. She grew up in Zumbrota and graduated from Zumbrota High School in 1974. Brenda started working for Park-Nicollet Clinics in the Twin Cities. She returned to Zumbrota in 1990 and worked as a Medical Receptionist for Fairview Clinics until her health failed. Brenda loved plants and flowers, earned her horticulture degree and worked part-time for Joel's Greenhouse. She also volunteered at the Zumbrota Food Shelf
Brenda is survived by her brothers, Wayne (Cheri) Weis and Scott Weis; one sister, LeAnn (Paul) Edwards all of Zumbrota; and nieces and nephews, Jason Weis, Mallory Edwards, Jack Edwards, and Sam Edwards.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Joanne.
Honorary bearers are Jason Weis, Mallory Edwards, Jack Edwards and Sam Edwards.
