Brenda M. Betcher

Brenda Mary Betcher, 45, formerly of Red Wing, died peacefully after a long courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at her home in Waikiki, Hawaii. She was born March 15, 1964 in Hastings, MN, the daughter of Gerald and Marjorie (Johnson) Fox. She graduated from Red Wing Central High in 1982. She married Wayne Betcher on October 16, 1982 at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Welch and they later divorced. She was employed at The License Center and ADM and she later owned the bar "Little B's" in Red Wing. She moved to Waikiki in 2004 and she worked as an assistant manager at the Sand Villa Hotel Bar.

Survivors include her two children, Ashley (Rob) Dettmann of Canon Falls and Benjamin Betcher of Mankato; one granddaughter, Madison Dettmann; her father, Jerry Fox of Welch; three brothers: Richard (Pat), Randy (Cheryl) and Ron Fox, all of Welch; several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles; her fiancé, Michael Walsh of Waikiki. She was preceded in death by her mother, one brother, Brian Fox and one nephew, Brian Fox.
