Bonnie Jean Taube, 79, of Red Wing, died Wednesday, May 6, 2020, on National Nurses Day, a fitting day for a women who dedicated much of her life to nursing. She was born February 15, 1941, in Red Wing, to Benjamin and Katherine (Tiedeman) Nibbe. She attended grade school in Belvidere Mills and then graduated from Goodhue High School in 1959. She then attended St. John's School of Practical Nursing and worked at St. John's Hospital as a licensed practical nurse for 35 years. Later on she worked at a local motel as an office manager. On January 9, 1965, she married Richard Taube at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Red Wing and has been a lifetime member of St. Paul's. Bonnie loved baking and flowers. She loved spending time with her grandsons, Andrew and Dylan and attending all of their sport activities. She also volunteered at church functions and at the Red Wing Area Food Shelf.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Richard; a daughter, Cindy (Pat) Dick of Hager City and a son, Brian (Lori) Taube of Red Wing; 2 grandsons, Andrew and Dylan Taube and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Donald and Ben.
