Blanche Pauline Brommer 85 passed away peacefully May 10, 2022 surrounded by her loving husband and daughters after a lengthy illness of Lewy Body Dementia.
Blanche was born October 17, 1936 to Joseph and Gladys Paulson in Dover Township, Buffalo County, WI. She attended elementary and high school in Gilmanton, WI. and Buffalo County Teachers College in Alma, WI. She taught 1st and 2nd grade at Oltman Elementary School in St. Paul Park, MN for 3 years. On December 27, 1959 she married the love of her life, Duane Brommer, at Evanger Lutheran Church in Lookout, WI. They were blessed with 62 years & 4 months of marriage and 2 daughters, Sheri Lynn and Heidi Sue. They made their home in Lake City, MN. from 1960-2012, then to be closer to their 2 daughters and family, they moved to Eagan, MN. Blanche enjoyed cooking and baking and always keeping her home immaculate. She also enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters and great grandsons, traveling to Norway and many family vacations, volunteering for various organizations, quilting and playing cards. Blanche was an active member at First Lutheran Church in Lake City and is currently a member of Easter Lutheran Church in Eagan, MN.
Blanche is survived by her loving husband, Duane; daughters, Sheri (James) Cichy and Heidi Brommer; granddaughters, Megan Cichy (Colin Schaeffer), Emma Cichy, Jessica (Michael) Ramstad; great grandsons, Samuel, Adam and Benjamin Ramstad; siblings Arleen Odegard, James Paulson, Paul Paulson, Gloria Paulson; sister-in-law, Lucille Baader, and many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Gladys Paulson and sister, Joan Englin.
A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 11 am at First Lutheran Church in Lake City with Reverend Duane Holst and Reverend Brandon Newton officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Lake City.
