William "Bill" M. Sperlich, 71, died on Friday, January 24, 2020 at his home. He was born on May 30, 1948 in Mitchell, South Dakota to Delmar and Eunice (Jarman) Sperlich. He graduated from Mitchell High School in 1966 and moved to Minneapolis a year later. He worked as a parts salesman for Fargo Freightliner and I-State Truck Center. In 1973 Bill met and married Gail MacDonald in Robbinsdale, MN. He enjoyed camping, bowling, golfing, trapshooting and most importantly his 1955 Chevy Sedan. Spending quality time with family and friends was very important to Bill.
He is survived by loving wife, Gail; daughters, Rosalind (Scott) Robertson, Allison (Chad) Meyer; grandchildren, Allen Spear, Isabella Herrly, Abby Herrly, Greta Herrly and their dad Brett Herrly, Daniel Robertson and Nolan Meyer; brothers, Doug (Mary) Sperlich, Mark (Barb) Sperlich; sister, Linda (Greg) Williams and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Minnesota Autism Center in honor of Bill Granddaughter Abby Herrly.A Celebration of Life will be from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Inver Grove Heights Community Center & Armory (8055 Barbara Ave, Inver Grove Heights, MN 55077).
