William Clarence ?Bill? Bach, 48, Bay City, died at his home Wednesday. He was born July 16, 1958 in Red Wing, the son of Melvin J. and Irene I. (James) Bach. He attended school in Ellsworth. He lived in River Falls until moving to Bay City in August of 2006. He worked for Wieser Concrete out of Maiden Rock for the past 18 years. He had been sober for 25 years and was a member of the River Falls Alcoholics Anonymous. He enjoyed doing carpentry and handiwork and visiting with others, especially with the ?Counter Guys? who met every Saturday morning at Perkins in River Falls. Survivors include his father, Melvin of Bay City; six sisters: Catherine (Roger) Thomas and Marlene (Bruce) Hanson all of Frontenac, Rita (Jim) McCarthy of Hastings, Mary Jo (Gabe) Andrus of Stockholm, Wis., Margaret Bach of Plum City and Tammy Hoyer of Bay City; four brothers: Ronald (Eileen) Bach of Red Wing, Robert (Beverly), Peter (Jeanie) Bach of Bay City and Charles Bach of Ellsworth; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Terry ?Toby? Bach. Funeral will be 1:30 p. m. Monday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Reverend Mike Hanson officiating. Burial will be in Bay City Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 - 4 p. m. Sunday and on Monday for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
