Beverly Marie Richter

Beverly Marie Richter, 84, of Red Wing, died Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Bay View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Red Wing to Will and Edna (Pohl) Richter on June 20, 1937. She attended country schools in Hay Creek before graduating from Red Wing Central High School. She went on to work for Pirius Bakery and the Red Wing Shoe. She retired from The Shoe after 25 years. She loved animals and during the late 70’s and 80’s, Bev along with her mother and sister, Joan, ran a small wildlife zoo that they opened to the public.

In her younger years she enjoyed snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, and polka dancing. Bev loved living in the country and always looked forward to the holidays when she could fill her home with her family and friends.

A special aunt to many, she is survived by her nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Lorena Traynor, Lois Firl, Joan Richter and Neil Richter; and her parents.

A funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, October 29, 2021 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial at Hope Cemetery. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
