Beverly Ann Massett

November 1, 1935 — June 15, 2020

Beverly Ann Massett, 84, of Red Wing, died Monday, June 15, 2020 at her home at Deer Crest. She was born November 1, 1935 in Red Wing to Russell and Margie (Nelson) Hanson. She grew up in Red Wing and graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1953. She married Dean Massett on March 18, 1955 and the couple made their home in Red Wing where they raised two children. Beverly was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She and Dean enjoyed meeting for coffee with friends, playing Yahtzee and taking walks together. She was a sports fan who enjoyed cheering on the Vikings and the Twins. She loved her Hallmark movies and always made a point to support her grandchildren's after school activities while they were growing up. Most of all, she adored her family.
She is survived by her husband Dean; daughter, Terri (Brad) Swanson; son, Dan Massett, all of Red Wing; four grandchildren; Ryan (Shayna) Swanson of Hastings, Megan (Kevin) Letnes of Minnetonka; Christian Massett and Adrian Massett, both of Red Wing; five great-grandchildren; Elin, Riley and Jensen Letnes and Briah and Domenic Swanson; two siblings, Jean (Bob) Simanski and Neil (Wendy) Hanson, both of Red Wing.
Due to COVID concerns, a private family service will be held. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Deer Crest and the nurses with Brighton Hospice for the excellent, loving care she received. Memorials are preferred to First Presbyterian Church.
