Beverly Ann Baker

Beverly Ann Baker, 90, of Rochester, MN passed away January 17, 2023, at The Mayo Clinic, Methodist Campus.
Beverly was born October 9, 1932, in New Haven Township in Olmsted County to Max Miles and Beth Edra (Kohn) Holmes. She grew up helping her dad on the family farm, where she loved working the fields and tending to her horses. On Match 24, 1976, Bev married Raymond Baker in Zumbrota, Minnesota. Ray and Bev spent their early years hauling milk and later together, they were the caretakers of the Oronoco Community Center. Bev and Ray enjoyed going out to eat, even if it was just for breakfast. Bev had a passion for the outdoors and the peacefulness it brought to her. She was often seen mowing the yard, which was a favorite past time for her. She loved animals, especially her cats! Bev loved sitting in her lawn chair, taking in the peacefulness of her surroundings. She thoroughly loved her life in the country. Bev entered Cottagewood Senior Communities on July 14, 2021.
Bev is survived by her stepson, Kenneth (Sue) Baker of Oronoco; grandson, Brad (Heather) Baker; granddaughter, Barb Baker and great-granddaughter, Nora. Bev is also survived by her sister Shirley Stuve and by her nieces and their families. Bev was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ray; sister, Maxine Kranz and by her parents.
A graveside service to remember Bev will be held 11:30 AM Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Pine Island Cemetery.
