Obituary: Beverley J. Rice Memorial service for Beverley J. Rice will be at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at the First Presbyterian Church in Rochester with Reverend Neal Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Columbarium. Memorials may be given to Madonna Towers. Beverley Joy Rice, age 80, of Rochester and formerly Edina, MN, died on Sunday, October 1, 2006 at Madonna Towers Nursing Care. She was born on November 21, 1925 at Madison, South Dakota to Andrew and Alyce (Farrington) Andersen. She graduated from Mason City High School in Iowa and later from the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities. She was a substitute teacher in Edina where she lived most of her life. Beverley was married to Clifford D. Rice on May 5, 1945 in Minneapolis. The couple later divorced. Beverley was also a travel agent for AAA in Minneapolis and she enjoyed playing tennis, golf and her grandchildren. Beverley is survived by one son, Steve (Susan) Rice, of Glenwood Springs, CO; two daughters: Ann (Dennis) Gastineau of Rochester, MN and Kay (Bob) Francis, of Sodus, MI; seven grandchildren; and long-time friend Roy Swanson, of Minneapolis, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, L. Bryce Andersen.
