ROCHESTER The memorial service for Betty Anne Hoffmeyer will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Mahn Family Funeral Home Rochester Chapel.
Mrs. Hoffmeyer, 84, of Rochester, died Sunday (Mar. 29, 2009) at Olmsted Community Hospital in Rochester.
Betty Anne Mayer was born Jan. 6, 1925 in Milwaukee, WI. Her parents were Emil and Viola Mayer of Milwaukee, WI. She graduated from Pulaski High School in 1943. On Mar. 25, 1960 she married Kenneth Hoffmeyer in Milwaukee. They lived in Milwaukee; Hales Corners, WI; and Greenfield, WI; then moved to Rochester in 2007.
Mrs. Hoffmeyer sang for the Milwaukee USO during WWII, and was a soloist for many years in the Atonement Lutheran Church choir in Muskego, WI. She was an avid collector of antiques and established a business in 1963, which she operated for 30 years. She loved dogs, cats, and nature.
Survivors include her husband, a daughter, Nicole Terracall, of Berwick, Australia; a son Mark (Mary Luehne) of Rochester; and a granddaughter, Kali Terracall of Berwick, Australia
