Betty Bremer, age 92, died on November 25, 2011, at Emerald Crest Assisted Living and Memory Care in Burnsville, MN. She was born on March 17, 1919, to John and Ella Juers. She attended and graduated from the University Of Minnesota School Of Agriculture in 1937. She married Carl Bremer on February 21, 1939 in Lake City, MN. They farmed in the Zumbro Falls area for many years. In 1970, Betty had an antique business for a number of years before retiring to Lake City. She and Carl enjoyed traveling across the US and to many foreign countries. Betty was a member and volunteered in many areas of the United Methodist Church in Lake City. She enjoyed her various women's groups and attended Lake City and Zumbro Falls Senior Citizens. She and Carl were both active in the Historical Society at Reeds Landing.
Betty is survived by her three children, John Steven (Joy) Bremer of Lake City, Sylvia (Dennis) Anderson of Burnsville, MN, and Sheila (Steven) Wyum of Rutland, ND; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two brother-in-laws, Ernest Bremer of Lake City and Erwin Freiheit of Rochester, MN; and one sister-in-law, LaDora Bremer of Lake City.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Bremer; one son, Mark Bremer; and a half brother, Earl Stober.
