Bette May Ellingson

Bette May Ellingson, 82, of Red Wing, died Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Fairview Seminary Home. Bette was born August 4, 1927 in Peterson, MN to Alfred and Florence (Olson) Rude. She graduated from Rushford High School. She married Curtis Ellingson on June 16, 1948. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. She worked at the Minneapolis Airport and Dayton's. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Michael Ellingson, Pam (Richard) Klatte, Mary (Terry) Barrett, Sue Herrmann, Steve Ellingson (Julie); 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Curtis on January 31, 2010; two brothers Donald and Eldus; and two sisters Lorraine Schifsky and Delores Humble.

Funeral Service will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Chaplain Cheryl Szabo officiating. Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
