Bernice Lorraine (Rose) Jensen

Bernice Lorraine Jensen, 88, of Red Wing, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 19, 2022 at the Benedictine Living Community – St. Crispin. She was born March 31, 1933 in Maiden Rock, Wisc. to Mauritz and Francis (Carlson) Rose.  Bernice went to school in Reeds Landing, Minn. She later met Richard Jensen, Sr. and were married in August of 1952. They lived in many places in Minnesota while raising five children. Richard passed away in November of 1989.
Bernice worked various jobs throughout her life, one being at St. John’s Hospital. She enjoyed playing card, having a cup of coffee with friends, and all things with elephants on them.

She is survived by her sons; Robert Jensen of Lake City and Richard (Sandy) Jensen of Red Wing; daughter, Linda (Bill) Gibbs of Ellsworth; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; special cousin, John Jensen; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband; son, Timothy; daughter, Gail Danninger; a grandson; her sisters, parents; and stepmother, Lucille
