Bernice Dammann

Bernice F. Dammann age 97 of Lake City died Thursday Mach 23, 2006 at the Lake City Nursing Home. Bernice was born August 9, 1908 in Mazeppa Township in Wabasha County to Fred & Anna (Larson) Grossback. She attended rural school and graduated from Mazeppa High School in 1927. Bernice married Arthur Dammann May 21, 1932 in Brownsville, MN. They lived and farmed in the Bear Valley area until she moved to the Lake City Nursing Home in 2003. Arthur died February 17, 1977. She was a member of St. John?s Bear Valley Lutheran Church and the Church ladies aid. She also enjoyed fishing, camping, horse back riding, and playing bingo. Bernice in survived by one son LaVerne of Lake City; three grandchildren Debbie (Mark) Schmid of Apple Valley, Carol (Patrick) Rolph of St. Cloud, Thomas (Julie) of Lake City; five great grandchildren Joshua, Christopher, Alex, Carston and Morgan. She was preceded in death by two brothers Glenn and Lloyd. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday March 25th, 2006 at St. John?s Lutheran Church Bear Valley at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Alan Horn officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
