Bernice C. Adams, 91, of Lake City passed away Tuesday, September 06, 2016 at Potter Ridge in Red Wing. She was born on April 8, 1925 to William and Anna (Bruer) Brunkhorst in Lake Township in Wabasha County.

On April 4, 1942 Bernice married Raymond Adams in Waynesville, MO. They then moved to Lake City where Bernice worked at the Royal Café in Lake City and several other jobs in Lake City. Bernice worked for Zero King as a seamstress for 27 1/2 years until retiring in 1987.

Bernice was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, St. John's Ladies Aid, VFW Post 8729 Ladies Auxiliary and Lake City Hospital Auxiliary.

Bernice is survived by her two sons, Lee (Shirley) Adams of Augusta, WI, and Larry (Carole) Adams of Blaine, MN; one daughter, Lois (Wally) Berlin of Frontenac, MN; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Adams, her parents, three brothers, and one sister.

A funeral service will be Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran in Lake City with Reverend Paul Otto officiating. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church. Arrangements are with Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel of Lake City.
