Bernette VonBargen

Bernette "Bernie" VonBargen, 94, of Belle Plain, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the Lutheran Home. He was born May 24, 1917 in Belle Creek Township to Ernest and Anna (Alms) VonBargen and grew up in Hay Creek area. For 37 years, Bernie had been a resident of the Belle Plain Lutheran Home, Hope Residence. He enjoyed playing cards with family and collecting dog figurines.
He is survived by one brother, LeRoy (Mary) VonBargen of Bloomington and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Willis VonBargen.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2012 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with Reverend Todd Engel officiating. Burial will be at Burnside Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to service
